EASA STC for Air Tractor AT-502 series with 4-blade AVIA propeller
MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH received the EASA STC 10090953 for the installation of the 4-bladed AVIA Propeller AV-804-1-E-C-F-R(P)/CFR275-446 on the Air Tractor AT-502( ) Models: AT-402, -402A, -402B, AT-502, -502A, -502B, -503A powered by Pratt & Whitney PT6A-( ) propeller turbines.
The FAA STC is in progress.
MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht says that the installation features the following advantages:
AVIA Propeller Ltd. is part of the MT-Propeller Group and manufactures high-performance, durable aircraft propeller systems, including 2- to 5-blade, hydraulically controlled variable-pitch propellers for engines up to 867 HP and governors for use with almost any propeller system.
This combination of expertise allows AVIA to develop and manufacture propellers with complete control system.
15 propeller models have already been certified, and AVIA propellers can be developed for nearly any aircraft type—from sport aircraft to regional airliners powered by piston engines and turboprop engines.
More than 10 000 propellers with over 30 000 blades are in service worldwide, having accumulated more than 30 million flight hours. More than 20 000 governors are in service worldwide.
AVIA is based in Prague near Letnany Airport (LKLT) in the Czech Republic, where a highly qualified team manufactures aircraft propellers and governors of the highest quality.
Several service stations are available to customers worldwide.

MT-Propeller Vice President Martin Albrecht says that the installation features the following advantages:
- Equal or better Performance Data compared to the Legacy STC 4-blade propeller
- Increase of Static Thrust up to 430 lbs for PT6A-34AG engine and up to 200 lbs for PT6A-140AG engine compared to the existing Legacy 4-blade propeller STC
- RPM reduction from 2200 RPM to 2080 RPM for applicable engines for reduced noise and higher efficiency
- In-field removable blades: Easy installation thanks to separate hub and blade installation; easy shipping.
- No propeller ADs!
- TBO 2500 hours or 6 years, whatever comes first, for low maintenance costs!
- Single blades easily replaceable in-field
