MT-Propeller - A story of success

When Gerd Mühlbauer started the success story of MT-Propeller in 1981 with 6 employees, the company was located in a small airport building, which is still part of the company buildings at the Airport Straubing-Wallmühle (EDMS) today.

Over the last forty years, the company has grown inexorably from a small business to the world market leader for high-performance aircraft propellers.

In the 2024 built high-tech centre, all metal parts for the MT-Propellers can now also be manufactured at the airport, which creates short transport routes and greater flexibility. A further aircraft hangar provides additional space for the direct assembly of propellers on customer aircraft and the new building also increases shipping capacity. Additional space has also been created for the regular training of employees and the company certified service stations around the world.

The large high-tech blade production center, five miles away from the airport, ensures the highest quality for all natural composite MT blades, which are used in our 2 to 7 blade propellers for aircrafts up to 5000hp, airship, hovercrafts and wind tunnels.

MT-Propeller - Heading into the future

Investments in innovative new developments by MT-Propeller engineers - most of them have a pilot's licence themselves - the company's own test pilots, many long-serving employees who use and pass on their experience and knowledge in the development and construction of propellers made in Bavaria, ongoing training for all employees and the highest quality standards are the key to MT-Propeller's success.

280 highly qualified employees at the airport, at the blade production center five miles from the airport, in Prague, and at the company's own service stations in Florida and Canada ensure the best products and service further on.
