May 2015

BLR Aerospace and MT-Propeller teamed up for new performance package and quality of ride.

MT-Propeller developed the new 5-blade propeller for the KingAir fleet, called Whisper Prop™, which was designed to improve aircraft performance, safety and comfort. It is available for installation on King Airs invidually or in a package with the BLR Winglet System.

Due to the excellent vibration damping caracteristics of MT-Propellers natural composite blades and the multiple blade concept which results in a reduced diameter, the Whisper Prop™ shows exceptionally quiet operation, and best FOD protection for unimproved runways. Compared to the standard King Air propeller, the Whisper Prop™ reduces noise by 30-50 percent, measuered in dB, denpending on frequency.
Combined with the installation of BLR Winglets on the KingAir, the system also delivers runway length reductions up to 33 percent, which gains access to shorter local fields, to reduce trip times with improved safety margins.

The intention of BLR Aerospace to offer the Whisper Prop™ and Winglet package for the KingAir was to provide greater performance and more comfortable cabin environment. BLR Aerospace Vice President of Sales and Marketing Dave Marone said. “Until now, this level of quiet comfort has been unavailable to the King Air market.”

100th Pilatus PC12 converted to 5 bladed QFJ MT-Propeller

100th converted PC12
5 years after introduction and EASA/FAA certification of the Quiet Fan Jet 5 bladed propeller System for the Pilatus PC12 the 100th PC 12 was converted to our new propeller system.
The customers are impressed by the improved performance in take off (15% shorter), climb (10% faster) and cruise (up to 4kts faster) plus the unmatchable cabin comfort with a jet like vibration level and reduced cabin noise by up to 6 dB(A). The TBO for the propellers is presently 3000hrs or 6 year and will be increased to 3500hrs soon.
Customers around the world are using this latest generation propeller system. The PC12 fleet has accumulated over 100,000 hours of flight time with the 5-blade MT-Propeller.

100th converted PC12Phelps Lane, owner of the Cygnus Lift company, told us his impression after installation of the MT-Propeller on his PC12, which was the 100th PC12 converted:

Yes, the propeller shortens takeoff, greatly increases climb rates, and reduces noise and vibration to the point where my passengers have made comments about the difference in the cabin. This is a much needed modernization to the front of the PC-12, and I recommend the upgrade to the 5-bladed MT propeller to any and all PC-12 owners and operators. It is like having a new aircraft!

February 2015

MT-Propeller welcomes our 3rd Sales and Service Center in China.
With the growing demand of Aviation in China, MT-Propeller found excellent partners to perfectly service our Chinese Customers using our light weight, low noise efficient propeller systems.

In the last 2 years MT-Propeller certified a complete new product line of 2 bladed/3 bladed/4-bladed propeller systems.

These propeller systems are the lightest certified and vibration approved propeller models available today.
The 2-bladed propeller with 6.5 kg (14,3 lbs), the 3-bladed propeller with 9.5 kg (21 lbs) and the 4-bladed propeller with 11.5 kg (25,3 lbs) can be used as a full constant speed or ground adjustable version on tractor or pusher applications within the limitations of the TCDS.
They are presently EASA certified according to EASA TCDS P.044 / P.048 and P.049.

With the certification of the lightest certified constant speed propellers in the world, MT-Propeller also received the certification by the EASA (EASA TCDS P.104) and FAA ( P22BO) for the 5-bladed MTV-27 propeller model with a maximum diameter of 3 m (118 inch) with a maximum rating of 1700 hp and 1700 rpm.

With this certification the MTV-27-Propeller is the lightest choice for the high power turbines with a reduced weight compared to the only available steel hub/aluminum blade option which is approximately 25 kg / 55 lbs heavier than the MT-Propeller.

This propeller gives a great opportunity to airplane manufactures for a new low weight, low noise, high performance option.

EASA TCDS for the lightest certified constant speed composite 4 blade MTV-36-1() propeller with a weight of only 11,5 kg (25,3lbs)
